Airport group of the Pacific Airport group of Pacifico, S.A. of H.P. (GAP) constituted itself in 1998 like part of the program of the Federal Government for the opening of the SAM to the private investment. Through its subsidiaries, GAP has 12 concessions to operate, to maintain and to develop 12 airports in the Central region and of the Pacific of Mexico. GAP operates 12 airports, which give service in two important metropolitan areas (Guadalajara and Tijuana), diverse tourist destinies, as they are Vallarta Port, the Cabos, La Paz and Manzanillo, and a number of cities of proportions medians, as they are Hermosillo, Leon, Guanajuato, Silao, Morelia, Aguascalientes, Mexicali and the Mochis. The Airports that GAP operates find located in 9 of the 31 States in Mexico, covering a territory with approximately 566.000 kilometers squared, with a population of approximately 26 million inhabitants according to the National Institute of Statistic, Geography and Informática (INEGI). All the Airports are designated like international airports under Mexican law, which means that they are equipped to receive international flights and to maintain customs services, of migration and refueling operated by the Federal Government. Like operator of the 12 Airports, GAP acquires tariffs to the airlines, passengers and to other users by the use of the facilities of the Airports. GAP also acquires rents and obtains other income derived from commercial activities realized in the Airports, such as the rent from space to restaurants and stores of retail. Six of the Airports appear between the ten concurred airports but of Mexico with base in the traffic of Commercial Passengers, in accordance with the data published by the DGAC for the 2006.
